Customer relationship management specialist SugarCRM announced
the addition of a native iPhone application, new international support
and languages, and social CRM and media management features to its CRM
suite, Sugar 6. The Sugar Mobile for iPhone application, which offers
customization capabilities, complements the existing mobile
capabilities in Sugar, and enables users of Sugar 6 to access and
interface with their CRM system as a native iPhone application.

The iPhone app is available for all Sugar Professional and Enterprise
Edition customers and can be downloaded from the Apple App store. Free
trials of Sugar Mobile for iPhone can be accessed either directly from
the iPhone application or SugarCRM’s Website.

The company has also extended the social CRM capabilities of Sugar 6
with enhanced social management tools. A new Twitter Connector enables
users of Sugar 6 to monitor the Twitter stream of any contact or
company from within their Sugar installation. This complements the
existing Cloud Connectors and other social collaboration and
information sharing capabilities within the Sugar system.

Sugar Cloud Connectors and social feeds enable the sharing of any type
of external data, including video, social networking information, or
any records from the CRM system. Also, users can set filters or
automated alerts to keep up to date on their most pressing tasks, or
abreast of any changes to contact, lead, opportunity or account status.
In addition, integration with Qontext Inc., provider of a private
social collaboration platform, enables users to collaborate with
associates, partners and customers in any SugarCRM object (for example,
account, opportunity, lead, contact) via a single platform.

SugarCRM has also added to the email management and communications
capabilities of Sugar in the latest release of Sugar 6. Sugar 6 now
supports integration with Microsoft Outlook 2010, as well as stronger
support for all IMAP email protocol offerings such as Gmail from within
the Sugar email module. Finally, SugarCRM now offers support for the
Google Chrome browser.

“The latest additions to Sugar 6 complement our growing global user
base and our commitment to offer a great CRM user experience any time,
anywhere,” said SugarCRM CEO Larry Augustin. “Our flexible solutions
allow users to be more productive and connect more closely with their
customers through new simple-to-use mobile and social tools.”
