Kofax,
provider of capture-enabled business process management (BPM) solutions,
announced the launch of DotImage Enterprise Edition, software for enabling
Internet browser based portal applications with document scanning, viewing,
annotating and processing capabilities that is fully integrated with Kofax’s
enterprise capture platform. DotImage Enterprise Edition allows customers to
extend enterprise capture solutions beyond firewalls to include line-of-business
applications accessible via the Web to the point where information originates.
In
doing so, DotImage Enterprise Edition helps to minimize process latency and can
improve an organization’s ability to be more responsive to its constituents. By
providing a common architecture for capture across an enterprise, Kofax enables
customers to further reduce operating costs, accelerate processing times,
increase information quality, improve customer service, gain competitive
advantage and enhance regulatory compliance.
As
an example, when processing a mortgage application, most lenders now allow
prospective borrowers to apply for mortgages online, but that process is
typically not capture-enabled. Applicants must provide paper copies of
documents evidencing their proof of identity, income and other supporting information
to the lender for processing. Kofax delivers the solutions through its own
sales and service organizations and a global network of more than 800
authorized partners in more than 70 countries throughout the Americas, Europe,
Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific.
Capture-enabling
a lender’s portal applications allows applicants to scan those paper documents
and submit all information electronically, thereby eliminating paper from the
process. This accelerates the mortgage application process, better serves
customer needs, and allows lenders to be more responsive to applicants and gain
competitive advantage.
“Kofax
DotImage Enterprise Edition demonstrates our commitment to providing software
that supports the objectives of improving customer service and satisfaction by
delivering user-centric initiatives and self-service models,” said Martyn
Christian, chief marketing officer at Kofax. “By extending our capture platform
directly to the user, businesses can better leverage capture-enabled BPM
solutions that automate critical business processes throughout the enterprise
and deliver a faster return on investment.”
