Tablets generally drive more app activations in the enterprise. The gap seen in previous quarters in the number of tablet versus smartphone app activations closed, coming in at 58% and 42%, respectively.

Financial services, business and professional services, manufacturing and technology all recorded a significant bump in activations quarter over quarter.

Government and the public sector recorded an increase of five percentage points in iPad activations, despite recording only a one percentage point increase in total device activations this quarter.

Google claims four points of activation share from Apple iOS, while enterprise app activations shifted this quarter, with Android apps taking 12% of total activations.

10 - Apple Tablet Activations FallApple Tablet Activations Fall

Apple tablet activations decreased to 90% of the total, with Google Android tablets getting 10%.

11 - Apple Still DominatesApple Still Dominates

Apple recorded 67% of total activations, while Android device activations increased significantly quarter over quarter, increasing to 32% of all activations.
