Tech Data Mobile Solutions Enhances Cloud-Based Partner Portal
Tech Data Mobile Solutions has improved CellManage, its cloud-based portal that centralizes the management of mobile devices through integration with wireless carriers, enterprise mobility management (EMM) and corporate IT systems. The enhancements provide resellers with a platform to manage asset tracking, billing, deployment and procurement of mobile devices.
The CellManage platform, powered by MOBI, gives solution providers a complete set of management tools and services designed to increase visibility, reduce costs and increase efficiency. New features include consultation services, expense management services and lifecycle services, as well as remote and on-site device preparation, logistics and training services.
Ingram Micro Expands Expert Services for Partners
Ingram Micro has expanded its Professional Services organization with the addition of EMC VNX Deployment Services, and Voice and Video Readiness Assessment Services. These new services are designed to help channel partners more effectively sell, deploy and support these advanced solutions.
By removing the barrier to entry, these new services can help channel partners expand their portfolio into more advanced solutions while reducing their risk. Available in the United States and Canada, the two new Ingram Micro Expert Services are white-labeled and are offered at a low, fixed rate and billed upon completion.
Other services available include wireless network assessment, penetration test assessment, Web application vulnerability assessment, virtualization health check and VCE vBlock deployment and implementation.
Avnet Extends Distribution Agreement with HP
Avnet Technology Solutions will now distribute HP’s data center-related products in Mexico, including enterprise technologies and software. Under the new agreement, Avnet will provide channel partners with resources to help them capture analytics, big data, cloud computing and converged infrastructure opportunities.
Avnet also has formed an HP Solutions group in Mexico to help partners increase their data center sales with HP enterprise technologies and software. Partners also will have access to the Avnet Technical Army, which provides in-depth technical knowledge on HP products and technology. They also can leverage the Avnet Global Solutions Center in Chandler, Ariz., to integrate and assemble data center products based on HP technology.
Tech Data Partners With iOmounts
Tech Data has inked a new distribution agreement with iOmounts. The deal enables Tech Data’s channel of solution providers to sell iOmounts products, including stands and wall mounts, through the distributor’s Systems & Peripherals IT division.
Providing resellers with related products for existing tablet and smartphone offerings, the new products include iOadapt, a thin adapter disk that attaches to the mobile device, and iOcore, a magnetic carrier that secures the phone or tablet to a variety of stands and mounts. The new partnership is expected to provide opportunities for channel partners focused on education, hospitality B2B and retail markets.
Rackspace Joins Vormetric Cloud Partner Program
Vormetric has announced that Rackspace Hosting has joined its Cloud Partner program and will offer encryption and key management services to customers via Vormetric’s Transparent Encryption offering, which provides high-speed, hardware-based encryption using Intel AES-NI and Secure Key technologies.
The new partnership gives Rackspace new capabilities to extend data security practices to its customers across its managed cloud platform. Customers can use Vormetric’s Transparent Encryption within Rackspace environments.
