Arrow Teams Up With Information Builders

Information Builders, a provider of business intelligence (BI) and analytics, information integrity and integration solutions, is partnering with Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions to help small companies leverage advanced BI solutions without the involvement of IT. Arrow will distribute Information Builders’ WebFOCUS Express offering, which provides advanced BI benefits typically limited to large enterprises or advanced analysts’ roles to smaller organizations or specific departments within larger organizations, the companies said.

Arrow will distribute two versions of WebFOCUS Express through its solution provider network: a software-only version for IBM Power Systems running Linux and an Intel version running both Linux and Windows. Arrow will also manufacture and distribute an IBM Power Systems Linux Appliance version of WebFOCUS Express in North America and EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa).

Apprenda Launches OneCloud Partner Program

Apprenda, an enterprise platform as-a-service (PaaS) software company, has unveiled its partner program, OneCloud Alliance, which brings together top cloud, technology and service providers to deliver portable and interoperable solutions. Alliance companies are committed to application portability and ensuring that new technology like cloud computing integrates with existing legacy technologies to deliver an effective approach to cloud application delivery for all enterprises, said the company.

“Our customers have lamented the challenges of working with locked-in enterprise stacks that vendors have sold them in the past. This will not happen with the OneCloud Alliance,” stated Sinclair Schuller, CEO, Apprenda. “It’s our commitment to customers that we will work with other vendors to ensure interoperability and portability in the cloud era.”

Bromium Grows Its Channel Partnerships

Bromium, a pioneer of a new model of endpoint security using micro-virtualization, has announced new channel partnerships with The Herjavec Group, a North American managed security services provider (MSSP) and integrator, and Scalar, an IT solutions integrator in Canada.

The two companies will offer Bromium’s vSentry and LAVA enterprise products. The offerings use hardware-isolated micro-virtualization to enable end-user protection and complete visibility into advanced cyber-attacks. Bromium solution partners have been trained in the deployment, management and integration of the Bromium vSentry and LAVA products.

Panthera Expands Cloud Offerings

Panthera Technologies, a professional service organization providing business strategy and technology consulting, has expanded its cloud offerings. The company now offers a full suite of cloud-based business solutions, including virtual desktops, secure and compliant cloud servers, disaster recovery and backup as a service, all powered by Cirrity, a secure cloud solutions provider.

Panthera’s virtual desktops, powered by VMware Horizon DaaS, allow employees to access Windows desktops, applications and proprietary programs from anywhere, using any device. Panthera’s cloud is protected with Veeam Software and built on enterprise-class hardware with a Cisco/NetApp FlexPod platform. This cloud technology is the backbone of vStream, a real-time, cloud-based disaster recovery offering, powered by Zerto.
