Heartland Technology Solutions, the Iowa pioneer managed services in the channel, has a new president — Connie Arentson.

HTS announced the promotion of Arentson, who most recently served as vice president of professional services, where she oversaw professional services engagements and lead the company’s Precision Agriculture business unit. Arentson has been with HTS since 1995, having served in dispatching and field engineering.

Also moving up the ladder is Kim Marples, who will has been promoted to service manager. Marples is a former dispatcher who will now work with technical teams to ensure quality control and customer satisfaction.

"Connie and Kim both bring a deep understanding of our client base and the proven ability to streamline processes and drive efficiency which will help ensure that our clients continue to receive the best possible service," said Arlin Sorensen, the company’s chairman and CEO.  

Sorensen, who also founded and drives the highly successful Heartland Technology Group collaborative of service and solution providers, says the promotion of Arentson will enable him to shift his focus to strategic growth, acquisitions and relationship building.
