 PGP Corp. has unveiled a version of its whole disk encryption technology focused on the small to midsized business (SMB) arena as the company plans to implement "major updates" to its channel sales program that includes the recent signing of Avnet as a distribution partner for PGP’s solutions.

Under the agreement, Avnet will distribute the PGP Encryption Platform and Solutions to VARs in North America. Together, PGP and Avnet will provide industry-specific security solutions and services that address the growing customer demand to holistically protect their core asset: data.
