Amazon Web Services (AWS) has added Portal26 to its Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Accelerate Program.
The AWS ISV Accelerate Program is a co-sell program for AWS Partners that provide software solutions running on or integrating with AWS. It helps AWS Partners drive new business by directly connecting participating ISVs with the AWS Sales Organization.
The Portal26 Generative Adoption Management platform
The newest addition, Portal26, is a generative AI adoption management platform that provides enterprises with a way to responsibly and securely manage GenAI consumption.
The Portal26 Generative Adoption Management platform provides enterprises with visibility, governance, forensics, security, education, impact, and financial metrics to enable enterprises to accelerate GenAI program growth and move their GenAI POC projects into production.
“Most enterprises are still wrestling with how to responsibly and securely manage the consumption of generative AI in their organization,” said Arti Raman, CEO of Portal26, in a press release. “By joining the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, Portal26 will help organizations confidently progress from exploratory proof of concepts to production, enabling them to rapidly realize the full benefit of generative AI.”
The Portal26 platform allows organizations to do the following:
- Eliminate shadow AI, visualize and analyze usage, prompts, and productivity
- Observe, audit, and investigate
- Create, educate, trigger, and enforce policy
- Measure and mitigate GenAI risk and deliver security, privacy, and compliance
- Understand GenAI’s impact on business and enable responsible adoption
“Portal26’s platform not only gives business leaders a way to have visibility and observability into their GenAI infrastructure, but with it, they can also build long-lasting strategies to support GenAI initiatives long term,” CEO of Portal26 Arti Raman said in a conversation with Channel Insider. “Our platform gives enterprises the ability to deep dive using AI forensics and AI auditing capabilities that give an understanding of GenAI tools used, not just those sanctioned and whether there was improper use with full traceability and transparency.”
One of the advantages of the Portal26 platform, Raman says, is that in most cases, customers can be up and running within 15 minutes. The deployment is designed to eliminate friction and leverage existing secure web gateways and DLP deployments.
Best use cases for the platform
There are various benefits to utilizing the Portal26 Generative Adoption Management platform, including providing visibility and observability over GenAI use. Raman says there are a number of “best” use cases for the platform that span the lifetime use and adoption of GenAI. Those use cases include:
- Benchmarking & Strategy: Initial benchmarking of GenAI use across the organization can be done to discover unsanctioned use, areas of productivity where people are bringing their own GenAI, and discover gaps in your DLP. Within a week, it is common for Portal26 to generate a board-level report giving a full picture of GenAI use. These reports are also useful for GenAI council and departmental strategy and planning as companies look to begin or expand their programs.
- Security: The platform can discover and mitigate breaches in real-time that were missed by the DLP– which is not generally tuned to find GenAI breaches.
- Forensics/Audit capabilities: Portal26 is the only platform that enables organizations to look back historically and provide detailed insights for investigations around breaches, while looking at the prompts and attachments to understand the extent of the problem.
- Governance: Organizations are enabled to rapidly create, deploy governance, and measure employee acceptance of that policy.
- Ongoing metrics for impact, intent, and budget: Provides ongoing metrics and measurements of GenAI adoption that can be broken down by department to determine if your GenAI program is having the impact as intended on the organization.
Raman said that they have a number of new features they’re creating for the Portal26 platform based on customer feedback and use cases.
A higher standard with the AWS ISV Accelerate Program
Members of the AWS ISV Accelerate program must undergo a comprehensive evaluation to gain acceptance into the program. The program is for software vendors whose solutions have some traction on the AWS Marketplace and connects the vendors with the AWS sales team, which leads to faster sales cycles and new business opportunities.
To join the program, ISVs must meet certain program requirements, including:
- At least one software app, solution, or product listed under General Availability (GA) on AWS Marketplace
- Two public reference customers from the last 12 months that are approved in the AWS Partner Center
- Five ACE Launched Opportunities or AWS Marketplace Private Offers (MPPO) from the last 12 months
- APN Customer Engagements (ACE) Program Eligibility
- AWS Partner business plan approved by the Partner Development resource in the past 12 months
Once an ISV has met the requirements to join the AWS ISV Accelerate program, they can start reaping the benefits, which include:
- Access to an AWS Partner Development Manager, which introduces them to the AWS sales team
- AWS AEs receive cash incentives when they sell third-party solutions or introduce new customers to the AWS Partner, so there is incentive for them to sell an ISVs solution
- The vendors’ solution will be in the AWS Account Manager-facing solution library, putting the listing in front of a wider audience
- Access to exclusive co-sell resources, including webinars
- Reduced listing fees
“AWS believes we can offer real value to their customers to enable them to responsibly adopt GenAI enterprise-wide with proper governance, security, and oversight,” said Raman. “Without giving away too much, they are creating opportunities for us to showcase the power of Portal26 with their customers that wouldn’t have existed without the partnership.”
