Channel consulting firm Amazon Consulting is adding two new components to its partner collaboration solutions.

The company, based in Mountain View, Calif., said the week of June 18 that it would add a new customer renewal component and a new solutions directory.

The PartnerPath Solutions Directory is intended to provide an online venue for partners to describe their solution offerings, both to customers and to each other. Amazon Consulting said the tool “encourages a solution-oriented sales approach, improving partner collaboration, revenue generation and overall satisfaction.”

The addition follows the ongoing trend of increasing collaboration among channel partners. A recent IDC study showed that partners that made collaboration part of their business strategies made more money than those that didn’t.

Amazon Consulting also announced PartnerPath Customer Renewal, designed to simplify the process of renewing product licenses and maintenance and support agreements through channel partners. The solution helps vendors to assign and track renewal opportunities, providing partners with better lead time, the company said in a statement.

Amazon Consulting also said further enhancements to the PartnerPath platform include enhanced system security and tools with which to more effectively manage security groups and roles. The enhancements also include new functions to help global organizations. For example, a new tool has been added to simplify the administration of global system deployment by letting administrators configure different geographies to match their unique business processes.
