It was the middle of the day, the California desert sun was still shining, the bar wasn’t even open, yet Ingram Micro event staffers persuaded otherwise reasonable men and women—Ingram Micro staff and VAR partners at Ingram’s Venture Tech Network Fall 2006 Invitational, Oct. 4-7 in Palm Desert, Calif.—to don the attire of pop music idols and rock legends for an afternoon karaoke contest.

The winning group, the Beatles, went so far as to use their own vocal chords. Brave!

They look good doing it, but any karaoke enthusiast will tell you that you need a well-crafted excuse in hand, preferably 8 proof or greater. And the dark of night is the preferred hour for playing dress-up.
