Scale Computing took time from its annual flagship event in Las Vegas to share key success metrics from the past year and promote how it will enable channel partners of the future this week.

Vendor touts SC//Platform as AI-ready, targets broader market following year of growth

Scale Computing seems ready to throw its hat in the AI ring. While hosting its //Platform conference in Las Vegas this week, the vendor released new information that positions its various solutions as the backbone for organizations’ AI deployments and workloads.

The vendor says its broad hardware support, which includes NVIDIA GPUs, autonomous infrastructure management, fleet-wide orchestration, and zero-touch deployment, brings “cloud-like simplicity” to the edge.

According to Scale Computing, its key capabilities include:

  • Built-In Autonomous Infrastructure Management: AI applications can continuously operate, adapt, scale, and recover from failures without human intervention, reducing IT overhead and enhancing uptime.
  • Complex Application Lifecycle Management at Scale: SC//Platform simplifies the deployment and maintenance of multi-component AI systems across thousands of distributed locations.
  • Decentralized AI & Federated Learning Support: Organizations can deploy and manage AI models trained on localized data without compromising performance or security.
  • Cloud-Like Control Across Edge Locations: With centralized fleet management and API driven automation, SC//Platform enables real-time oversight and orchestration of distributed AI environments.

“AI innovation can’t succeed without the right infrastructure and management framework that encompasses everything from the physical edge infrastructure deployment (servers, GPUs and storage) to software and application delivery and updates,” said Jeff Ready, CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing. “SC//Platform bridges the gap between advanced AI applications and models and the real-world environments where they need to operate—retail stores, factory floors, field offices, and beyond.”

As flagship conference continues in Vegas, Scale Computing eyes its future

//Platform concludes on May 15 and marks the culmination of a strong year for the edge computing and virtualization vendor.

Results from the first quarter of 2025 showed an increase in software sales of over 40 percent year over year and a 140% increase in new customers. This growth comes after Scale Computing leaned in hard to the chaos and uncertainty caused by actions taken by Broadcom following its acquisition of VMware throughout 2024. The vendor positioned itself publicly as an alternative to VMware and, it says, has seen results that speak for themselves.

“Our Q1 performance demonstrates the growing demand for simple, scalable, and resilient IT infrastructure,” said Jeff Ready, CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing. “With over 40% year-over-year software growth and an increase of well over 100% in new customers, it’s clear that organizations are actively seeking VMware alternatives and edge computing solutions that are easy to deploy and manage. As the adoption of AI accelerates, the need for distributed edge environments will only continue to grow—making our Scale Computing Platform (SC//Platform) even more critical in helping organizations run intelligent workloads reliably, securely, and close to where data is generated.”

The company also recently announced its integration and partnership with Veeam to expand backup and recovery capabilities. The vendor also partnered ith Arrow Electronics on a deal to brings its Scale Computing Hypercore solution to Arrow and its customers.

The power of partnering with Scale Computing was recently expressed by OTAVA CEO TJ Houske in a new episode of Channel Insider: Partner POV. Tune in to see how OTAVA works with Scale Computing and Veeam to support customer needs.
