Hewlett-Packard is launching several new solutions for the health
care industry meant to help health care organizations transform
themselves into "Instant-On Enterprises."
The new HP Digital Health solutions integrate existing HP products,
solutions and partnerships to help enhance operational efficiencies and
the coordination of care across the ecosystem in health care
organizations.
"Sweeping regulation and the changing health care landscape are
encouraging providers to reorganize into care teams that improve
coordination and collaboration across the continuum of health care
settings," Scott Lundstrom, group vice president, IDC Health Insights,
said in a statement.
"HP’s approach to ‘instant-on health care’ should help to address
and simplify the transition health care organizations will need to
achieve this level of efficiency."
The HP Digital Health portfolio includes several new offerings.
The HP Digital hospital 2.0 helps hospitals coordinate in-patient
care by providing an expanded solution framework and formal reference
architecture to create an integrated, real-time information management
system.
The HP Health Solution Center in Plano, Texas, will give HP,
customers and partners a dedicated environment in which to develop
solutions.
HP V-Health (Virtual Health Management) is a solution set focused on
the outpatient and home environment that helps link patient care teams.
"Health organizations today run countless systems, tools and
applications that are not connected or integrated," said Sandeep Johri,
vice president, Strategy and Solutions, HP Enterprise Business, in a
statement. "HP’s new end-to-end Digital Health solutions portfolio
enables clients to efficiently coordinate care across the extended
health care community."
