Andrew S. Bryant will replace co-presidents Kevin Gilroy and M. Catherine Morris at Arrow Electronics’ Enterprise Computing Solutions Group, the distributor announced this morning.

Gilroy is leaving the company "to pursue other interests" and Morris will become chief strategy officer, according to a statement released by Arrow.  Both Bryant and Morris will report directly to Arrow Electronics CEO Mike Long.

Gilroy was named co-president of Arrow ECS Jan. 2, 2007, and has held the position for only 15 months.  Prior to his position at Arrow, Gilroy was CEO at technology services company OnForce.

Research firm Equity Research said that Bryant will become the fourth person to hold the position of president or co-president of ECS within the past two years.  Before Gilroy and Morris, the position of president was held by Edward Coleman, who resigned in September 2006 to become CEO of Gateway Computer. Coleman replaced Mike Long, who was promoted to Arrow Electronics president, North America, in May 2005.

According to Arrow, Bryant most recently served as chief operating officer for Jennings Strouss, a law firm in the Phoenix area. Previously he was president of Avnet Logistics for Avnet, also in Phoenix, and has held several managerial-level sales, marketing and operational roles within the company. He also served as general manager of Future Electronics, a distributor of electronic components and connector products.

The changes are effective April 21, according to Arrow’s statement.
