Email security specialist Mimecast has announced a partnership with Exclusive Networks, which will see Exclusive add the solution to its security suite.

Extreme Networks rounds out its platform with email security

Exclusive Networks already represents Mimecast in key APAC markets, including Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. “We’re positive about our plans to add value to an exclusive group of Mimecast’s solutions,” said Exclusive Networks Regional General Manager Lisa Stockwell.

“We know from our existing partnerships in other regions, the value that Mimecast brings to Exclusive Networks and organisations who are seeking to protect themselves against cybercrime. We are excited to bring their world-leading technology to our own ecosystem across the APAC region as well,” she added.

Exclusive Networks represents over a dozen other emerging and established vendors in Australia, including A10, Avocor, Fortinet, Cloudian, SentinelOne, Rubrik, and Vectra.

With over 90% of cyberattacks beginning with a phishing email, having an email security solution will be a cornerstone for the ability for Exclusive Networks to offer its partners a holistic, end-to-end security platform to take to their customers.

An opportunity for Mimecast to expand its access to MSPs

Mimecast has had a presence in Australia for several years, with partners including CSO Group, Somerville (now Atturra), Brennan IT, Netskope, Data#3, InfoTrust, and The Missing Link. It also launched a flagship new product, its Email Security Cloud Integrated solution, into Australia late last year.

According to Mimecast Senior Director Channel for APAC Pauline Tng, the intent behind the partnership with Exclusive Networks is to help reach a broad range of resellers, integrators, and MSPs that Mimecast had not previously had access to.

“Collaborating with a top-tier cyber security distributor like Exclusive Networks enables us to enhance our solutions by aligning with vendors whose offerings complement ours,” Tng said.

“Our partnership with Exclusive Networks streamlines the channel community’s interactions with Mimecast, making it easier to engage and enriching the overall partnership experience,” she added.

Further security growth in the Australian channel

This announcement follows on from several significant moves and announcements, as security continues to be seen as a big opportunity in the Australian channel.

Last month, Guardz launched in the country through a partnership with Manage Protect. Meanwhile, Attura inked a deal with MyCISO to launch a managed security service, and Australian MSP Spirit announced a strong pivot to cybersecurity as a solution to declining revenues in other areas.
