Cisco expanded it’s healthcare line with a network solution designed to deliver more efficient communications for clinicians; InfoSecure, a Converged solutions VAR joined DataPower’s channel expansion to extend deliver an AON solution to its own converged voice and data networks.

  • Cisco Clinical Connection Suite to Improve Communication Solution

Cisco Systems, Inc. broadened the Cisco Medical-Grade Network with a suite of four network solutions to create more efficient connections between clinicians and the information, people and equipment they need, when they need it.

The new Cisco Clinical Connection Suite—Nurse Call, Patient Monitoring, Location-Based Services and Collaborative Care—are designed to provide faster, smarter healthcare with the ability to direct, locate and prioritize information for clinicians and their patients, the company said in a release.

As a result, hospitals realize improved staff productivity, reduced capital and operating costs with extended systems and significantly enhanced quality of care and services.

  • Optimus Solutions Renames its Financial Services Unit

Optimus Solutions changed the name of its financial services subsidiary to IT Financial Solutions, LLC, to better reflect the unit’s actual business, the company said.

The unit was previously called Optimus Financial Services, LLC.

The title switch will clarify the firm’s expertise in providing financial solutions to the IT marketplace.

Optimus Solutions, based in Norcross, Ga., is a VAR offering financial solutions for IT acquisitions, such as leasing and rental options, which allow companies to avoid technology obsolescence and eliminate risk of ownership.

Optimus has been an IBM Premier Business Partner, but the company has made moves and acquisitions this year to establish itself as a professional services firm.
