PeopleSoft entered into a new relationship with Ascential Software last week to embed the latter’s integration technology in its enterprise performance management software.

Ascential replaces Informatica as PeopleSoft’s OEM provider of application integration adapters. PeopleSoft will use the new software to provide connectors to SAP and Siebel systems, which will enable users to run their analytic and business intelligence applications off their PeopleSoft enterprise application data.

New challenges, however, await PeopleSoft customers, now faced with migrating and converting from Informatica to Ascential’s DataStage software, some said.
