Avnet Hall-Mark Announces New Services, Partnership

Avnet Hall-Mark, a value-added distributor of IBM enterprise computing products, storage, software and services, made a series of announcements.

The company has teamed with VBS Software, LLC, to offer a back-office solution specifically designed for resellers. Visual Business Suite is an ERP solution that focuses on reseller operations, accounting, and installed base marketing. VBS is pre-configured to integrate with Avnet’s systems.

Avnet Hall-Mark also announced a suite of services called the Avnet Enablement Services Partnership (Avnet ESP) program for ISVs and application developers. The program builds on Avnet Hall-Mark’s Life Sciences Program introduced last year to build collaborative relationships between Avnet Hall-Mark resellers and ISVs targeting the Life Sciences market.

In a separate announcement, the company introduced a new unit that will focus on solutions that combine IBM software and Intel-based xSeries servers.

Viacore Introduces Hub Deployment Solution

Viacore,a B2B hub deployment solutions provider, has joined the IBM Value Advantage Plus (VAP) incentive program. The company’s BusinessTone B2B hub deployment solution for IBM’s WebSphere will be featured in IBM’s e-business on demand pavilion during PartnerWorld.
