Affiliated Computer Services launched April 6 a managed services platform for Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007.

ACS’ SolutionOne is designed for businesses that use MS Exchange as their e-mail service, allowing ACS to manage the deployment and support of the product. The managed services offering also integrates ACS’ data centers and professionals’ expertise on MS Exchange environments to give users a managed MS Exchange environment.

“Microsoft Exchange is an important application for companies that have chosen Microsoft technologies as the backbone of their messaging infrastructure, and companies need to be reassured that the solution they choose will work all of the time and scale as they grow,” Dave Budnick, vice president of IT management of ACS Application Management Services in Dallas, told eWEEK.

The managed services platform provides automated software and processes that enable users to perform server updates and manage patches. The offering also gives users e-mail security and management functions such as anti-virus and anti-spam capabilities.

SolutionOne manages and monitors a user’s MS Exchange environment 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provides a reporting service that allows businesses to see what is going on in their MS Exchange service.

“ACS’ … SolutionOne for Microsoft Exchange … will help ensure that customers get the very most out of their investment in Microsoft messaging technologies,” Budnick said.

ACS’ SolutionOne for MS Exchange is available now; pricing is dependent on client needs and is also based on a per-month, per-user charge.
