Access Distribution expanded its network security line with the addition of Bluesocket Inc.’s wireless LAN security and management solutions this week.

Under the agreement, Access VARs will have entree to the entire suite of Bluesocket wireless LAN products, including BlueSecure Controllers, Access Points and Intrusion Protection System for centralized and distributed RF sensing along with the BlueView Centralized Management System—to address various aspects of WLAN technology deployment—as well as the Bluesocket Wireless LANPlanner.

The solution set broadens the distributor’s breadth of network security coverage in response to increased demand, said Grant Hunter, vice president of Access’ Enterprise Solutions Group.

“As more and more organizations deploy wireless LANs, the need to
effectively manage and secure these networks is of paramount importance to
IT managers,” Hunter said in a prepared statement.

For Bluesocket’s part, the agreement offers the vendor a wider breadth of market coverage, said Ralph Calistri, CEO of Bluesocket.
