NinjaOne has introduced a new remote access solution designed to give IT teams and managed service providers (MSPs) faster, more secure control over distributed endpoints. Announced Dec. 8, NinjaOne Remote is fully integrated into the company’s automated endpoint management platform and built specifically for business environments rather than consumer use cases.
We spoke with NinjaOne’s CPO, Rahul Hirani, about the new offering and how IT teams and MSPs can leverage it to support hybrid work environments and meet compliance demands.
Addressing remote work, device sprawl, and rising cyber risk
Organizations today are managing more devices, more threats, and more remote workers. NinjaOne cited research showing 36% of organizations now support more remote or hybrid employees, creating pressure on IT teams tasked with securing and troubleshooting increasingly complex environments.
“Modern remote access is a pivotal tool in IT teams’ and MSPs’ tech stack. It is core to helpdesk workflows, especially in complex workplaces like remote/hybrid work, diverse OS environments, and even BYOD,” said Hirani. “The steep ratio of technician-to-endpoints requires those technicians to quickly and smoothly resolve end user blockers. We hear from our customers that they need tools to address these challenges without adding additional complexity to already busy teams.”
“NinjaOne Remote lets teams move faster, solve more end-users’ challenges, and deliver better support every time – allowing IT teams and MSPs, and the people they support, to be more productive,” he continued.
Consolidated toolset for IT technicians
Technicians can initiate connections within seconds and run unlimited simultaneous sessions. The platform consolidates troubleshooting, updates, and maintenance workflows into one interface, enabling teams to work faster and reduce resolution times.
“Embedding remote access into the same platform organizations use for automated endpoint management and troubleshooting removes the costs and inefficiencies that come with using fragmented tools,” said Hirani.
Through the NinjaOne End User Portal, employees can securely access office machines remotely, which the company says minimizes downtime and improves flexibility for distributed teams.
“Teams deserve better than piecemeal tools that eat up their time and resources. NinjaOne Remote is the natural next step in our vision of one unified platform for endpoint management,” Hirani added.
NinjaOne has also leveraged strategic partnerships to build towards that unified vision, including its new integration with Microsoft Intune.
Security-first remote access architecture
NinjaOne Remote is built on a security-first framework, meeting FedRAMP Moderate, GovRamp, SOC 2 Type II and III, and ISO 27001 standards, while aligning with GDPR, CCPA, NIS 2, and HIPAA. The company says every remote session adheres to stringent compliance and data protection requirements — a growing priority for MSPs and enterprise IT teams.
To Hirani, the solution’s security aspects weren’t optional, and Remote isn’t the only component of NinjaOne’s offering that meets such standards.
“We want customers to understand that relying on NinjaOne means they don’t have to choose between speed, usability, and security – they get all three,” Hirani said. “Remote access touches live production environments, so the security bar has to be extremely high. Security has always been foundational to all our tools – it’s reflected in every feature we bring to customers.”
NinjaOne has committed to security and trust across its operations and products, according to the company’s Chief Trust Officer, Mike Arrowsmith. We spoke with him in September about the company’s approach to trust in the AI era.
“I am ensuring our products are being built from the ground up with the forethought and focus on the trust our customers are placing with us to keep them secure,” Arrowsmith said. “We worry a lot about command and control and also think a lot about what we do with the data we collect. We are very strict about only collecting data we need to make our products better.”
More than 20,000 customers already using NinjaOne Remote
NinjaOne says more than 20,000 customers are using the new remote access solution. The company emphasizes that it is more cost-effective than competing tools and supports remote access across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS at scale.
Early adopters report significant improvements in workflow efficiency. Oliver Guy, IT administrator at DECKED, said legacy remote tools were unreliable and slowed ticket resolution.
He noted that NinjaOne Remote’s stability and technician-friendly tools — including command line access, Windows and Mac shortcuts, fast file transfers, and a background mode for silent troubleshooting — have reduced downtime and improved user support.
“NinjaOne Remote has been a game-changer for us,” Guy said, adding that reliable connections and task automation help technicians resolve issues without disrupting employees.
Hirani says NinjaOne is focused on building solutions that bring simplicity and efficiency to the IT teams and MSPs who need them.
“By consolidating multiple functions into a single platform, IT teams and MSPs have holistic visibility across all endpoints, consistent workflows, and shared security controls, which makes them more efficient and frees time up to focus on additional, strategic work,” Hirani said.
“We see customers using the full NinjaOne suite to reduce tool sprawl, improve their security posture, and create a smoother, more productive experience for both technicians and end users,” he continued.
