
Nearly 40 percent of IT professionals believe that senior management doesn’t really know or understand how much data information professionals can access within their organizations.

Over 78 percent of respondents reported that they’d be able to take sensitive information with them if they lost their jobs.

Additionally, 33 percent said they’d still be able to access their organization’s sensitive systems if they left their jobs.

Approximately 42 percent of IT pros said that if they wanted to they could get access to their CEO’s private files.

Approximately 22 percent of US respondents and 31 percent of UK respondents said they were worried about the stability of their jobs.

Among this group worried about their jobs, 31 percent said they would be willing to take sensitive information with them if they got canned.

Even 18 percent of those not worried about their jobs said they’d be willing to take sensitive information with them if they left the workplace.

Around 12 percent of those worried about the stability of their jobs and 9 percent of those not worried said they’d use their admin rights to access layoff lists or other sensitive information if they thought their job was at risk.
