Reliance Cyber RADAR Adds Agentic AI to MDR Operations

Reliance Cyber launches RADAR, an agentic MDR platform built on Google Cloud, as UK MSSPs turn to AI automation to improve security operations.

UK MSSP Reliance Cyber has launched RADAR, an agentic managed detection and response platform built on Google Cloud and integrated with Google Security Operations, as security providers increasingly use AI to automate alert triage and detection engineering.

Reliance Cyber said it spent the past year running RADAR against every alert in its SOC. Across more than 18,000 cases from its highest-volume alert sources, the company reported 99.3% precision in AI-assisted alert classification and identified roughly 3,000 tuning opportunities across more than 10,000 production SIEM rules.

Reliance Cyber shifts SOC analysts toward higher-value work

The platform integrates with Google Security Operations and brings together specialized agents for detection engineering, threat triage, response orchestration and autonomous self-healing. Those agents operate under human oversight, with RADAR also supporting integrations with other major security vendors at launch.

The launch reflects a broader shift within MSSPs as providers seek to use AI and automation to reduce the time analysts spend investigating routine alerts.

Reliance Cyber said its analysts are transitioning from managing lower-level alerts toward orchestrating investigations, detection engineering, incident response and direct customer engagement.

“In Security Operations, customers are not buying AI, agents or automation; they are buying outcomes: faster response, lower risk and a transparent security operation they can actually understand,” said Managing Director Alex Martin. 

“We have spent a year running AI in production and measuring everything. The next twelve months are about putting that capability directly into our customers’ hands, on top of the world-class Google Security Operations stack, under expert human oversight. The winners of the next decade of MDR will be the providers that can turn leading security platforms into measurable outcomes for customers – with speed, transparency and expert control,” Martin’s statement continued.

Customers will also receive a portal featuring a natural-language AI assistant grounded in their own alerts, incidents and threat intelligence, alongside dashboards, real-time intelligence and security recommendations.

UK MSSP demand gives agentic MDR room to grow

The timing is notable given the size and continued growth of the UK managed security market. The UK government’s 2026 cyber sector analysis found that service providers, including MSPs and MSSPs, generated approximately £8.4 billion in cyber security revenue, up from £7.4 billion the year before.

Demand for outside expertise is also substantial. According to a 2026 UK government survey, 48% of UK businesses use an external cybersecurity provider, rising to 64% among small businesses and 70% among mid-sized organizations. 

At the same time, 43% of businesses reported identifying a cyber breach or attack during the previous 12 months.

That market backdrop gives MSSPs an opening to compete less on the volume of alerts they can monitor and more on how effectively they can turn security platforms into faster response times, stronger detection, and measurable risk reduction.

For Reliance Cyber, RADAR is designed around that shift. Rather than removing analysts from the process, the platform uses agents to absorb repetitive operational work while leaving experienced security professionals responsible for investigation, escalation, and customer outcomes.
