A year after acquiring Foxpass, Splashtop finds success in expanding its identity management solution into new markets.

Following the 2023 acquisition of, Foxpass, a leading identity and access management company, remote access and support software company Splashtop recently announced a 62 percent increase in new Foxpass business as the result of new feature launches and expansion into international and education markets.

Foxpass Cloud RADIUS by Splashtop is an offering that secures corporate Wi-Fi networks from access by unauthorized users and cyberattacks, providing customers with a path to zero trust and compliance with critical federal mandates, regulations, and cybersecurity insurance requirements. Splashtop has now expanded this solution to international markets, developed a stronger presence in the education sector, and launched new features and integrations to provide Foxpass customers with greater value.

Expanding into international markets

Foxpass Cloud RADIUS solutions enable IT administrators in enterprise and midsize businesses to instantly authenticate users and simplify workflows through automation and integrations. In offering its services on a global level, the solution features internationally recognized ISO certification and SOC-2 and GDPR compliance, enabling a global rollout to Europe, Japan, and elsewhere in the Asia Pacific region.

Splashtop reports that the international expansion accounted for a 10 percent boost in new business growth for the line of business.

“Navigating the landscape of ransomware and cybersecurity can be a daunting process, and in a constantly evolving remote and hybrid world, organizations across the globe need intelligent and protected access to Wi-Fi networks, virtual endpoints, and company resources,” said Mark Lee, co-founder and CEO of Splashtop.

Gaining traction in the education sector

The Foxpass acquisition was a key component to Splashtop’s strategic vision of simplifying security and flexibility for IT operations. Following the acquisition, Splashtop invested in developing solutions benefiting the education sector, enabling institutions to enforce internet safety for students, and to meet new federal mandates to advance towards zero trust architectures.

According to Splashtop, this process has resulted in tremendous growth in the sector, with educational institutions accounting for 27 percent of the product’s pipeline today.

“We made the crucial transition to PKI certificate-based authentication for our Wi-Fi security, and Foxpass Advanced RADIUS made it nearly effortless,” Network Administrator of LL Schools Mike Good said.

  • Microsoft Intune Integration: Users can now achieve certificate-based authentication through Microsoft’s Cloud PKI solution by seamlessly integrating with Microsoft Intune.
  • Secure Authentication: Passwordless certificate-based and traditional password authentication to provide administrators with effective control over user and device access (including BYOD).
  • Intuitive Design and Interoperability: Continued investment in seamless integration with major mobile device management providers and Single Sign-On providers to enable setup in as little as 10 minutes.
  • Automated Bulk Onboarding: Further investment in bulk provisioning and deprovisioning to enable IT teams to efficiently scale up or down without increased workload errors.
  • Security and Compliance: Assisting organizations with meeting strict cybersecurity insurance requirements to mitigate cyberattacks and data breaches and comply with standards including COPPA, CIPA, FERPA, OC2, ISO27001, HIPAA, and PCI.

“Splashtop’s acquisition of Foxpass and expansion of existing features and capabilities demonstrates our commitment to simplifying security for organizations navigating the challenges of today’s cyber threat landscape,” Lee said. “Our recent momentum demonstrates Splashtop is leading the way in providing customers with a comprehensive remote access and security offering.”
