Communications and technology solutions provider Granite Telecommunications, which serves businesses and government agencies, announced that it has finalized an agreement to become an authorized reseller of Starlink, a satellite internet service operated by SpaceX and whose CEO now holds a prominent place in the Trump administration.
“We are excited to incorporate Starlink into Granite’s portfolio of solutions that bring competition, choice, and innovation to our customers. Providing a low-latency, high-performance option that multilocation businesses can seamlessly deploy across their entire network, even in rural and hard-to-reach locations, will add value and expand our service options,” said Granite President and CEO Rob Hale. “Backed by Granite’s dedicated team of experts, award-winning customer service and our one-stop-shop model, we are confident that Starlink’s LEO satellite service will deliver significant benefits to our customers.”
Granite will integrate each Starlink kit with Granite’s edgebootPro solution through this move. The advanced managed power distribution unit (PDU) leverages AI-driven capabilities for continuous connectivity, offering proactive monitoring, instant diagnostics, and automated failover responses. Granite says this offering, coupled with its managed network services and user portal, will simplify network management for multi-location businesses and governmental agencies.
“edgeboot represents yet another innovative solution born from our commitment to listening to our customers and proactively addressing their needs,” said Hale. “By empowering customers to operate equipment and network connections more effectively and efficiently, edgeboot resolves issues before they even arise. This patent reflects Granite’s commitment to excellence, driven by our team of innovators who work tirelessly to elevate customer outcomes.”
Starlink’s service offers global reach to provide multi-location businesses with a dependable, redundant, and consistent option to connect geographically dispersed sites, enabling scalability through a cohesive solution.
Granite to Enhance Network Deployments
The latest development from Granite is part of the organization’s continued mission to help customers with network deployment.
Recently, the telecommunications solutions provider was issued a new patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for its Greenix technology, a low-code workflow editor designed to streamline and automate complex network deployments.
This new solution will allow Granite to help partners’ enterprise clients with quick and accurate installs, boosting customer satisfaction and retention, providing an opportunity to potentially increase revenue, and providing additional upsell opportunities.
Additionally, the solution empowers on-site technicians to launch the application on smartphones and follow prompts to secure and rack equipment, activate services, run speed tests, and perform real-time diagnostics.
“Greenix has been a game-changer for our deployment process,” said Adam Weiner, Granite’s VP of technology and developer of the Greenix platform. “With this patent, Granite is strengthening its leadership in orchestration technology, giving customers the ability to scale deployments like never before. Our clients have seen dramatic improvements in activation times and first-pass success rates, which directly translates to reduced costs and accelerated project timelines.”
