Juan Fernandez, the now former channel chief for SuperOps.ai, recently announced his departure from the company after a year with the organization.

Fernandez has over two decades of experience in the managed service provider (MSP) industry and will now focus on becoming a chief encouragement officer at a new startup company, according to his LinkedIn page.

“Today, I announced the end of a story and the beginning of a new future, as I step down as channel chief for SuperOps,” Fernandez said in a LinkedIn post. “I want to express my heartfelt appreciation and know that I will miss everyone. I truly enjoyed the time spent disrupting and bringing innovation to the channel to support our loved MSP partners, and forging new relationships with so many wonderful vendors through integrations and creating new routes to market with amazing companies like Pax8.”

Fernandez said he would soon make further announcements about his next move and that his focus remains on bringing innovation to the channel.

“Although I am leaving SuperOps, I am not leaving the channel, this is the place I call home,” he wrote. “I am extremely happy to announce that I am returning as a CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer) and promise that my commitment to #changethechannel is focused on bringing a new evolution of success, support, and possibility to the forefront.”

Fernandez currently serves as a North American Executive Council Member for the Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA), a CompTIA Core/Infrastructure CAC Member, and a CompTIA Subject Matter Expert Technical Advisor.

As for SuperOps, the Indian company will continue its plans to double down on AI after securing $25 million in Series C funding in January that values it at $200 million post-money.

“Because we have an India advantage, we are able to give them [MSPs and IT teams] the support even if they pay us $100 … Doesn’t matter how much they pay, we will help them,” SuperOps Co-founder and CEO Arvind Parthiban said in an interview with TechCrunch at the time of the announcement.

With this funding, SuperOps plans to expand its AI research and development, scale offerings for mid-market and enterprise MSPs, and extend its global reach.

“IT teams worldwide are navigating complex challenges, including remote work and rising cybersecurity threats,” said Parthiban. “At SuperOps, we are empowering these IT heroes with tools that transform their operations, reduce costs, and fuel growth.

He added: “After revolutionizing the MSP space, we are thrilled to bring our AI expertise to internal IT teams with the launch of our Endpoint Management tool. The high demand and early successes validate that this is the future of IT operations.”
