1Password recently announced the introduction of 1Password Enterprise Password Manager – MSP Edition, a new solution enabling MSPs to boost client security posture and productivity while ensuring operational efficiency and increasing profitability.

New solution targets MSP needs and expectations

The solution’s features are tailored to MSPs’ unique needs. It will enable MSPs to scale their operations efficiently and maximize profitability.

“The demand we’ve seen from MSPs since the beta program has been extraordinary,” said Jason Eberhardt, VP of Global MSP Channel at 1Password. “Today’s MSPs are at the forefront of defending businesses against rising cyber threats. We’re thrilled to deliver a solution that not only helps MSPs enhance security and streamline their operations, but also enables them to provide exceptional value to their clients.”

According to the vendor, small- and medium-sized businesses often lack resources that manage routine security operations like credential management. MSPs are expanding their managed security services capabilities to combat these challenges, and solutions like the 1Password Enterprise Password Manager – MSP Edition are meant to be an essential tool for modern MSPs.

1Password wants to enable MSPs in modern threat landscape

The identity security leader will allow MSPs to stand out as trusted strategic IT partners in an increasingly complex security landscape by delivering security, operational efficiency, and client-centric services that drive profitability and client trust.

“1Password’s MSP solution delivers everything we need to confidently safeguard our clients’ corporate data while keeping business operations seamless,” said Adam Berti, Managing Director of Campfire Technology. “Its streamlined onboarding process and ability to scale effortlessly have been a game changer for both our team and our clients.”

Among the benefits of the new 1Password Enterprise Password Manager – MSP Edition include:

  • Industry-leading security: 1Password offers dual-key encryption, which combines an account password and machine-generated Secret Key to ensure data remains secure even if a breach occurs. Additional safeguards, such as enhanced MFA and Secure Remote Password, further prevent unauthorized access.
  • Streamlined operations and business agility: Through a centralized MSP console that provides multi-tenant management, MSPs can effortlessly configure new or link existing 1Password clients, monitor usage, and customize security policies. Integrations with Identity Providers (IdPs) like Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and JumpCloud, along with security information and event management (SIEM) tools like Microsoft Sentinel, simplify workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Profit-driven flexibility: Flexible consumption-based billing, billing in arrears, no license minimums, an aggregated view of client usage, and streamlined invoicing allow MSPs to achieve greater operational efficiency, scale profitability, and quickly adapt to evolving client needs.

“1Password was the missing link in delivering top-tier security to our customers,” said Dustin Leggans, CEO of OSA Technology Partners. “In today’s cybersecurity landscape, strong identity security is non-negotiable. With 1Password’s dual-key encryption and end-to-end security model, we have full confidence in protecting our clients’ data.”

1Password has ensured its presence in the channel and with the MSP community. In October, the organization added channel veteran Lori Cornmesser as its new channel chief. She was brought in to lead the channel and alliance strategy, build partner relationships, and drive growth.
