Kimberley Marlay appointed as ANZ Partnership Lead by Kyndryl

Kyndryl, a global IT infrastructure services provider, has appointed Kimberley Marlay as their new head of strategic partnerships and alliances for Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand (ANZ).

This position will see Marlay work to expand local partnerships with major cloud providers and strengthen Kyndryl’s channel ecosystem to meet the rising demand for hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.

“My predecessor established great relationships and a great operating rhythm. My opportunity now is to focus on growth through these strategic alliances and partnerships,” Marlay said in an interview with Channel Insider. “I was attracted to Kyndryl’s investment thesis and the significant level of deep domain expertise held by our engineers across the world.”

Dalyn Wertz set to leave Comcast Business

After 10 years at Comcast Business, Dalyn Wertz is stepping aside to pursue new opportunities. According to Channel Futures, the executive director of indirect channel marketing will depart the company on Dec. 2.

Wertz states that she will take the rest of the year off and return to a channel-focused company when the calendar turns to 2025.

Menlo Security hires Bill Robbins as President

Recently, industry veteran Bill Robbins departed as president of worldwide field operations at Sophos to become president of Menlo Security.

Robbins will be in charge of driving Menlo’s next phase of growth as the company expands its web security offerings.

Keepit announces Fahad Qureshi as VP of Sales for Americas and ANZ region

Global SaaS data protection company Keepit has announced that Fahad Qureshi will become its new vice president of sales for the Americas and ANZ.

He will be in charge of Keepit’s growth across those regions and meet the company’s goal of establishing the Americas as a leading market for Keepit’s cloud-native data protection solutions.

“Keepit’s product is technologically superior and an important reason why I’m thrilled to join the team,” said Qureshi in a press release. “Another is the company’s position: Unlike the typical approach of building a U.S. presence before expanding to Europe and the rest of the world, Keepit already has a proven model in other markets. That gives us a strong foundation to build on in the U.S. – it’s a goldmine of opportunity. I look forward to showing organizations across the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and ANZ how they can sleep easier at night, knowing their data is safe with Keepit.”

N-able makes three new hiring moves

Leading integrated IT service management platform N-able has hired Jonathan Bartholomew, a former Sophos vet, as its new vice president of channel sales; Paul Monaghan as vice president of EMEA sales; and Andy Hudson as vice president of international marketing.

According to a press release, Bartholomew will focus on enhancing N-able’s relationships with resellers and distributors. He brings extensive expertise in the channel and security.

Monaghan will lead N-able in broadening its global reach and focusing on MSPs across EMEA and beyond. Additionally, Monaghan will help N-able develop strategies that specifically cater to its MSP partners.

Hudson, meanwhile, will lead N-able’s international go-to-market strategies, particularly outside of North America, and guide N-able’s efforts to scale more quickly and adapt to varying global market dynamics.

Cynomi hires Ken Marks as Chief Revenue Officer

Cynomi, a leading vCISO platform provider for MSPs and MSSPs, has hired Ken Marks as its first chief revenue officer (CRO). Marks will lead the company’s global sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and support its growth trajectory.

Marks will utilize his years of industry experience to expand the reach of Cynomi’s vCISO platform, which empowers service providers to deliver scalable, CISO-level cybersecurity services to SMEs. He’ll also drive go-to-market execution and strengthen the company’s presence in key markets.

Jon Howes appointed SVP of Global Sales at Wasabi Technologies

Cloud storage company Wasabi Technologies has appointed Jon Howes senior vice president of global sales. Howes has served as Wasabi’s vice president and general manager for EMEA since Jan. 2023.

“I am eager to continue building upon Wasabi’s momentum on a global scale,” said Howes in a press release. “The remarkable progress Wasabi has made since I joined is a testament to how much customers and partners value Wasabi’s offerings. I look forward to collaborating with the sales organization worldwide to drive further growth and identify new opportunities.”

In Howes’ previous role, he helped drive approximately 77 percent year-over-year growth in annual recurring revenue for Wasabi across EMEA. Additionally, he played a key role in “building key partnerships for Wasabi with some of EMEA’s largest companies, including Retelit, Bechtle, Exclusive Networks, TD SYNNEX, and more.”

John Samuel promoted to COO at Computer Generated Solutions (CGS)

Global IT and outsourcing company, CGS, is promoting John Samuel to chief operating officer (COO) to “further enhance client service and drive the company’s information technology and cybersecurity initiatives.”

Samuel joined the company in 2016 and previously held various IT leadership roles, most recently as executive vice president. His new role will give him oversight of global operations while focusing on driving productivity and operational efficiency and integrating advanced technologies to further enhance CGS’ client services.

“John’s appointment to COO will mark an inflection point in CGS’ 41-year history,” said Phil Friedman, CGS founder and CEO. “CGS was founded as a technology company and innovation has been core to our success over the years. Tanuj Raja named TD SYNNEX’ next Senior Vice President of Hyperscaler and Marketplace in North America

Tech distributor TD SYNNEX recently announced that Tanuj Raja would be coming over from Google to serve as senior vice president, North America Hyperscaler and Marketplace. Raja has years of experience in marketplace strategies, digital transformation, and telecom and Edge ecosystems.

At Google, Raja served most recently as Global Director, Strategic Partnerships for Google. He also previously served as Global Head of Cloud Commerce and Global Head of Android Enterprise Partnerships.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tanuj to TD SYNNEX and to help our partners capitalize on digital opportunities in new ways,” said Reyna Thompson, incoming North America President at TD SYNNEX. “At TD SYNNEX, we empower our partners to scale across diverse customer segments by providing comprehensive enablement resources that drive cloud adoption and acceleration. Joe Henderson joins Vantage as Director of Partnerships

FinOps industry veteran, Joe Henderson, has been tapped as the new director of partnerships for Vantage, a leading cloud cost management platform.

According to a post on LinkedIn by Henderson, he will be responsible for building, scaling, and operationalizing the Vantage Partner Ecosystem. Henderson said that he pursued the opportunity with Vantage for three reasons:

  1. Vantage has the highest velocity vendor for shipping innovative features like Network Cost Visibility, the Datadog Cost Agent, GitHub, Terraform, and more.
  2. Has the most cloud integrations with 15+ integrations and counting. The company offers a unified view of cloud and software costs while identifying cross-provider savings opportunities.
  3. Offers a clean, high-adoption UI. Vantage is built for engineers, finance teams, and FinOps pros, Henderson says, delivering ease of use and actionable insights in one place.

“On top of that, Vantage is building in step with the FinOps Foundation’s FOCUS initiative (an open-source specification that normalizes cost and usage datasets across cloud vendors, and software providers),” Henderson wrote. “This alignment ensures Vantage is driving real value with the FinOps community.”

Channel veteran departs AT&T

Chris Jones, the mastermind behind AT&T’s channel program for technology service distributors and technology advisors, is leaving the company.

Jones served as AVP of AT&T Partner Solutions for Alliance Channel and ACC Business and will leave the company at the end of the year after declining to move to Dallas– where AT&T wanted his role to be based. Jones instead elected to stay in Atlanta to remain close to family.

Jones will be replaced in the position by 23-year company veteran Jush Danielson, area vice president, technology enablement center of excellence for AT&T Partner Solutions.
