IT distribution giant Ingram Micro has named a new head of its managed services and cloud computing business.  Renee Bergeron will head up that arm of the business, replacing Justin Crotty who left Ingram Micro this summer to join hosted infrastructure and applications services provider, Netenrich.

Bergeron will be responsible for Ingram Micro’s managed services and cloud computing growth strategy, including accelerating sales and business development efforts.  She will also be charged with building the competitive differentiators in Ingram Micro’s Seismic services portfolio and Cloud Conduit Initiative and Advisory Council. She reports to Paul Bay, executive vice president of Ingram Micro North America.

“The Ingram Micro Services Division remains uncontested in the distribution landscape and continues to be one of the most valuable, revenue-building resources available to our channel partners in the U.S. and Canada,” Bay said, in a statement. “Under Renee Bergeron’s leadership, we will build upon our success and expand our reach as the IT industry’s master aggregator of professional, managed and cloud computing IT services and support offerings.”

Bergeron joins Ingram Micro from Fujitsu America where she led a $300 million IT services solutions business and oversaw the development of solutions within its managed services operations including data center virtualization and cloud-computing. She spent nine years at Fujitsu, where she held a number of management roles including head of U.S. operations before running the manufacturer’s services operation.
