After a delay, Dell has launched its new channel blog. “It’s a blog that’s intended for our channel partners, VARs, MSPs and ISVs,” said Lionel Menchaca, chief blogger, in his inaugural post. Dell says it hopes that the blog becomes a place for lively discussions between Dell and its customers interested in this space.

The company also used its shiny new blog as the place where it first talks about its newly formed Partner Advisory Council, which met for the first time at the company’s Round Rock headquarters this week.

Participants also got a chance to talk to CEO Michael Dell. Channel Chief Greg Davis posted about the event, including a photo of the council members.

HP has edged out IBM in x86 server revenue and shipments, according to Gartner. As reported in eWEEK, HP’s server revenue for Q1 topped $4 billion, while IBM’s was $3.9 billion. Dell posted $1.6 billion.
