Huntress is expanding into Africa through a distribution partnership with QBS Software Africa, giving MSPs and VARs in the region access to its cybersecurity platform and 24/7 security operations capabilities.

The expansion will begin in South Africa before moving into select markets across Sub-Saharan Africa, with QBS providing the local channel relationships, technical support, and go-to-market resources Huntress will use to establish its regional presence.

Huntress targets African MSPs and VARs

According to INTERPOL’s 2026 African Cyberthreat Assessment, AI enables 55% of reported cybercrimes across Africa, causing direct economic damages to more than $5 billion USD across the continent.

By partnering with QBS Software Africa, local value-added resellers (VARs) and MSPs will gain access to the Huntress Agentic Security Platform and 24/7 AI-centric SOC providing protection across endpoints, identities, logs, security posture, and employee behavior.

“Expanding into Africa is an important step in Huntress’ mission to protect all businesses from organized cybercrime,” said Adam Waggott-Moss, Head of EMEA Distribution at Huntress.

“QBS Software Africa brings the local market knowledge, channel relationships, and regional expertise to help extend that protection to more businesses and build a strong foundation for long-term growth across the region.”

Via this partnership, QBS Software Africa will serve as a strategic launchpad for Huntress’ expansion into the region, beginning in South Africa and extending into select markets across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Further, Huntress’ cybersecurity capabilities will pair with QBS Software Africa’s local channel expertise, technical support, and go-to-market resources to help regional partners build and scale stronger cybersecurity offerings for their customers.

The move builds on Huntress global expansion, which now covers 270,000 businesses in more than 100 countries.

“Huntresss’ combination of innovative technology and elite security expertise gives businesses across Africa the ability to keep pace with the attackers targeting them,” said Sanjay Mithal, Head of Strategic Vendor Alliances at QBS Software Africa.

Mithal continues: “The Huntress Agentic Security Platform brings layered defense together with the security experts who understand adversary behavior best, helping organizations across the region stay ahead of threats and sleep a little easier at night.”
