TEMPE, Ariz.–Avnet Hall-Mark, a value-added distributor of enterprise servers, storage, software and services, today announced new tools, services, training, and pre-sales support to help resellers maximize the market opportunities of the next-generation EMC CLARiiON CX Series networked storage systems.
Avnet Hall-Mark has integrated the new EMC systems into its IT DemoCentral service. IT DemoCentral provides resellers with easy access to Avnet Hall-Mark’s library of enterprise solutions via a secure Web portal. Resellers can reserve the service for internal training purposes or to demonstrate the benefits of solutions to end-user customers.
Avnet Hall-Mark’s Networked Storage Advisor (NSA) service speeds analysis of end users’ storage networks with system tools, training and support to automate the front-end data collection of a storage assessment. The service enables resellers to quickly analyze a customer’s network in order to make informed recommendations for improvement, and provides a natural path to CX Series sales.
“Our channel partners are essential in ensuring the success of the new CLARiiON CX Series,” said Gregg Ambulos, vice president, Global Channels, EMC Corp. “Avnet Hall-Mark is a key partner and has taken a leadership position in delivering CLARiiON’s leading features, functions and software to market.”
Avnet Hall-Mark will hold a two-day “Boot Camp” later this month to provide technical training on the new CLARiiON CX Series. Led by EMC, the sessions enable resellers to obtain product information, accreditation training and access to the IT DemoCentral tool to allow them to perform training for internal staff or customers.
Donnie Downs, president, Plan B Technologies Inc., said Avnet Hall-Mark has helped his company become a more competitive storage reseller. “Innovative tools such as IT DemoCentral allow us to clearly articulate the benefits of the EMC solutions to our customers, while also shortening sales cycles,” he said.
