Oracle is expanding its partnership with OpenAI by introducing Oracle AI Workspace, a new offering that integrates ChatGPT with Oracle’s enterprise applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure, bringing AI directly into business workflows.

Announced at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas, the expanded partnership also includes new application development and cybersecurity capabilities powered by OpenAI technology. Separately, Oracle is expanding its AI Data Platform with tools designed to help enterprises manage AI agents, establish business context, and enforce governance policies.

Together, the announcements reflect a broader shift toward embedding AI into core enterprise operations rather than treating it as a standalone tool. For MSPs, systems integrators, and other channel partners, that shift creates new opportunities in AI integration, security, governance, and ongoing managed services.

Oracle integrates ChatGPT and Codex into enterprise workflows

A centerpiece of the expanded partnership is Oracle AI Workspace, which connects ChatGPT with Oracle Fusion Applications, NetSuite, Oracle AI Database, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Through plugins in ChatGPT, employees will be able to retrieve enterprise information, complete approved workflows, and interact with Oracle systems while maintaining established security and governance controls.

“With this new product suite, we are uniting their transformative AI capabilities with Oracle applications, data, and cloud infrastructure—technology that businesses around the world rely on to run their most critical operations,” said Oracle CEO Clay Magouyrk.

Oracle also introduced App Composer, which uses Codex to help employees create enterprise applications without traditional coding expertise, while Oracle handles deployment, infrastructure, and operational controls.

Another offering, Oracle AI Security Mesh, combines OpenAI cybersecurity models with Oracle-managed testing and validation to identify vulnerabilities across cloud and on-premises environments.

For smaller businesses, Oracle announced an AI SMB Bundle featuring ChatGPT Business, Codex, App Composer, NetSuite QuickStart, and $12,000 in annual Oracle cloud credits, subject to restrictions.

Oracle expands AI Data Platform with agent governance tools

Oracle’s AI Data Platform expansion addresses another emerging enterprise challenge: ensuring AI agents understand business processes and operate within appropriate boundaries.

The platform introduces AI-generated business ontologies, which establish shared definitions, relationships, and policies across enterprise information systems.

Its Semantic Reasoning Engine uses that context to support AI interactions while reducing repetitive processing and potentially lowering token consumption.

Oracle is also introducing an AI Registry to inventory agents, tools, skills, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, along with planned governance capabilities to monitor performance, costs, permissions, and agent behavior.

“AI agents are moving beyond information retrieval to participate in business decisions and execution,” said T.K. Anand, executive vice president at Oracle.

The new AI Data Platform capabilities are expected to become available within the next 12 months.

What the Oracle–OpenAI partnership means for channel partners

Oracle’s announcements highlight growing opportunities for MSPs, systems integrators, and solution providers as enterprise AI shifts from experimentation to operational deployment.

Partners can differentiate through AI integration, governance, and managed services, helping customers connect enterprise applications, secure AI agents, monitor costs, and maintain compliance.

Ultimately, the opportunity lies less in deploying AI models and more in helping customers securely operationalize them, manage their complexity, and deliver measurable business value.
