WatchGuard Technologies has unveiled FireCloud Total Access, a hybrid Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform designed to deliver enterprise-grade zero-trust protection to MSPs and small to mid-sized IT teams.
The new service, announced today, combines multiple security functions into a single, cloud-managed solution designed to simplify remote workforce protection and reduce reliance on traditional VPNs and hardware.
Expanding Zero Trust beyond the enterprise
Historically, hybrid SASE and Zero Trust capabilities have been accessible mostly to large enterprises with deep resources. FireCloud Total Access seeks to change that. The service integrates Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS), and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) into a single platform.
Delivered through a single security agent, FireCloud Total Access also ties into WatchGuard’s broader ecosystem. The company states that this integration will enable MSPs and lean IT teams to deliver stronger protection with reduced management overhead.
“Remote work and hybrid networks are now permanent, and organizations need a simpler way to enforce Zero Trust while protecting users everywhere,” said Andrew Young, chief product officer at WatchGuard, in a statement.
Designed for today’s everywhere workforce with simplicity in mind
The service targets organizations moving away from perimeter-based defenses to cloud-first, identity-driven protection. FireCloud Total Access provides:
- ZTNA for per-session, identity- and device-aware access to private apps, replacing traditional full-network VPNs.
- AI-powered FWaaS with intrusion prevention, DNS security, and sandboxing to detect advanced threats.
- SWG for URL filtering, application control, and TLS inspection to secure encrypted traffic and manage shadow IT.
WatchGuard emphasizes that these capabilities are delivered without additional hardware or complex VPN setups, enabling deployment “in hours, not weeks.”
Built for MSPs and partner growth
WatchGuard framed the launch as a significant opportunity for its partner base of nearly 17,000 MSPs worldwide. The service’s per-user licensing aligns with recurring revenue models, while features such as multi-tenant management, policy inheritance, and built-in reporting are designed to reduce operational burdens.
“Our clients want fewer tools, less friction, and better outcomes,” said Alex Dumas, Principal Engineer at Ember One, a WatchGuard partner. “With FireCloud Total Access, we can standardize protection across tenants, show value in a single portal, and scale recurring services without adding management overhead.”
Partners can access self-service trials, enablement materials, and product demonstrations through WatchGuard Cloud and the Partner Portal beginning today.
WatchGuard’s other product moves in 2025
The launch follows several recent milestones for WatchGuard, including:
- The company launched its “Total MDR” solution for MSPs, following its early 2025 acquisition of ActZero
- FireCloud Internet Access joined the SASE portfolio in March
- WatchGuard became one of many prominent tech firms to sign on to the Climate Pledge, promising a reduction in carbon emissions
- It also joined the AWS ISV Accelerate program earlier this year
Looking ahead, WatchGuard plans to continue engaging partners through its “Real Security for the Real World Global Roadshows,” which this fall will focus on zero trust adoption and AI-driven threat defense.
By integrating web, firewall, and access controls into a single platform, WatchGuard is betting that it can help partners provide scalable, enterprise-grade security outcomes without the complexity typically associated with enterprise-level solutions.
