Push Security, a provider of browser-based detection and response, recently announced a strategic reseller partnership with GuidePoint Security, a cybersecurity solutions provider aimed at helping organizations minimize risk.
Push and GuidePoint bring browser-based security to battle against phishing attacks
This partnership will enable GuidePoint customers to access real-time detection, response, and protection in the browser against modern threats such as phishing and session hijacking.
“The browser is where users live and attackers operate, making it the new security perimeter,” said Bryan Wallace, vice president of global partnerships at Push Security. “Our partnership with GuidePoint Security puts advanced, browser-based detection and response in the hands of more security teams, helping them spot threats faster and act before any damage is done.”
The Push Security platform allows defenders to have complete visibility into user activity, attacker behavior, and session-level risk, and, at the same time, to enforce protective controls like MFA and SSO. It works in any modern browser, deploys in minutes, and integrates seamlessly with existing stacks to give security teams of any size access.
Built with deep offensive security expertise, the Push platform is designed with an attacker’s perspective in mind to ensure defenses that reflect how real threats unfold in the browser.
“Attackers are innovating quickly, and security teams need tools built with an attacker’s mindset in order to keep up,” said Justin Iwaniszyn, director of new and emerging alliances at GuidePoint Security. “Our partnership with Push enables our customers to improve visibility and better detect, secure, and respond to browser threats in real time.”
Push’s new Field CTO
This new partnership comes shortly after Push found a new technology leader for their C-suite.
Mark Orlando was named Push Security’s field chief technology officer (CTO) to advance the company’s mission in bringing research-led detection and response to the browser. He will help guide Push’s strategy as it redefines how organizations bring active security to the browser.
As field CTO, Orlando will also serve as the connective tissue between practitioners and Push’s research-driven product innovation, ensuring Push’s platform addresses today’s security realities.
“Everywhere I’ve worked, from government to the private sector, I’ve seen the same challenge: defenders trying to protect users where they actually work,” said Orlando. “Today, that’s the browser. It’s where attackers are targeting, and where security teams need to be. Push Security is one of the first companies I’ve seen that gets this right, and that’s why I’m here.”
Orlando brings over 20 years of experience to the position, leading security operations at the Pentagon, the White House, the Department of Energy, and Fortune 500 companies.
“Mark embodies the defender’s mindset– he’s built teams from the ground up, taught thousands of students as a SANS instructor, and led security at the highest levels,” said Adam Bateman, CEO of Push Security. “His perspective and credibility will help us scale Push’s impact and ensure defenders can meet attackers where they are– inside the browser.”
Earlier this year, Push Security also made a significant move to boost partner cybersecurity portfolios. Learn more about Push’s global partner program, which they launched to support partners in delivering security outcomes.
