Akamai is partnering with Deloitte Canada to combine its cybersecurity technology with Deloitte’s advisory and managed services, creating a joint offering designed to help enterprises consolidate security tools and strengthen defenses against increasingly complex threats.
Akamai and Deloitte target proactive cyber resilience
As a result of the partnership, Deloitte will combine its cybersecurity advisory services and managed services with Akamai’s advanced security capabilities.
The combination will enable platform-based resilience to help organizations address AI-accelerated threats, simplify cybersecurity architectures, reduce tool sprawl, and enhance organizational agility.
Akamai notes that it will also support its strategic partner program goal of “building on trusted solutions to move organizations away from reactive patching and toward proactive, platform-based resilience and containment.”
Alliance combines security technology and managed services
The joint solution delivery will provide a defense-in-depth strategy powered by the enterprise-grade Akamai Application Protection Platform.
The strategy includes:
- Microsegmentation (Akamai Guardicore Segmentation): Prevents lateral movement of threats and accelerates Zero Trust maturity.
- WAF/DDoS protection (Akamai App & API Protector and Akamai Prolexic): Safeguards critical web applications and mitigates high-volume infrastructure attacks.
- Akamai API Security: Discovers, monitors, and secures vulnerable API endpoints.
“Akamai and Deloitte Canada are offering solutions for security teams confronted with increased operational costs and complexity,” said PJ Joseph, the executive vice president of global sales and services at Akamai.
“By shifting organizations away from fragmented, siloed tools toward a unified proactive platform approach, this new alliance will help CISOs build true cyber resilience while accelerating digital transformation journeys.”
Deloitte adds Akamai platform to its business transformation strategy
Deloitte guides organizations through an end-to-end transformation using Akamai Application Protection Platform by utilizing:
- A cyber strategy that aligns security investments with stringent compliance and data privacy requirements.
- Security architecture implementation that provides specialized end-to-end delivery to integrate Akamai solutions into existing workflows.
- Enabling organizations to safely adopt emerging cyber technologies and accelerate secure cloud transformation and migration.
“This alliance reflects our shared dedication to helping clients navigate their most complex cybersecurity challenges,” said Alejandro Campos, partner, cyber risk services at Deloitte Canada.
“By combining Akamai’s market-leading capabilities with our deep industry experience and end-to-end services, we enable organizations to simplify their security stacks, mitigate critical risks, and confidently embrace next-generation technologies.”
What the partnership means for security services
The partnership also reflects the growing role services firms play in helping security vendors bring increasingly broad platforms to enterprise customers.
For Akamai, Deloitte Canada provides an additional route to pair its security technology with the advisory, implementation, and managed services organizations need to deploy and operate those tools.
