WestconGroup Launches Tech Incubation Program

WestconGroup launched an incubation program to identify emerging technology vendors in high-growth areas and develop global distribution relationships for their products and services. As part of the program, the distributor is looking to find vendors that have not previously used or considered distribution as a sales channel.

With budgeted funding and resources to help new technologies get into the hands of its solution providers, the program strengthens WestconGroup’s overall ecosystem, enabling the distributor to offer more vendor solutions that solve complex business problems, the company said. WestconGroup will provide a scalable process for vendors to ramp up in each country and region, and enable them to leverage the distributor’s specialized practice groups and services to target the solution providers and markets they want to reach.

The first vendor to emerge from incubation is WestconGroup partner FireMon. The two companies expanded their current North American and Asia-Pacific distribution relationship to include Latin America and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). WestconGroup is the first distribution partner to carry FireMon’s products worldwide.
