Cybersecuity and vCISO platform vendor Cynomi today announced the company has hired Tim Coach to be its new Chief Evangelist of Community and Channels, a role that will focus Coach on channel relationships and global partnerships.

“Tim is a well-known personality in the channel industry and I believe his experience and skills will boost Cynomi’s presence in the market and bring tremendous value to Cynomi as well as our community,” said David Primor, CEO and founder of Cynomi, in a press release. “He is a master at understanding the intricacies of running an MSP business at every level and we are excited to bring him onto the Cynomi team. He will help us take Cynomi to the next level and find new and innovative ways to help the MSP community thrive.”

Coach is a familiar face to many in the IT channel. He most recently served as the channel chief at Pia, earning recognition and awards for his dedication to channel partners and growing Pia’s partner base. He is also a sought-after consultant who has worked with many MSPs throughout the US to increase profitability while improving operational processes and business growth.

“With my MSP history, my primary goal has always been to bring solutions to the MSP to make their lives easier. Solutions that didn’t create more work, but reduced workload with improved outcomes and revenue,” said Coach in the press release. “Cynomi does exactly that — it provides the path to security. No longer does the MSP have to figure out how to secure their clients on their own. Cynomi offers a partnership where we walk side by side with MSP helping them every step of the way to provide proof their clients are secure.”

Coach will attend industry events with the Cynomi team and support the company’s partner base of MSPs and MSSPs through “improving and growing channel relationships, leading community initiatives, and enhancing the global partner experience.”

Cynomi recently released the findings of its State of the Virtual CISO report and has focused its business model on enabling MSPs and MSSPs with its platform, which automates many aspects of the vCISO offering that channel partners would have to otherwise build and maintain manually.

MSPs can create custom channel products of their own to stand out in the market. Read our guide to learn more about utilizing products in channel marketing strategies.
