SaaS security provider AppOmni has announced an exciting new partnership. They’re joining forces with Cisco’s Security Service Edge (SSE) technology suite to deliver a powerful solution that applies zero trust principles at the application layer for SaaS applications.

The combined offering provides organizations with a truly end-to-end zero-trust approach, extending security from the endpoint to the SaaS applications. This comprehensive solution offers enhanced visibility and monitoring, allowing enterprises to track everything from configurations to user behaviors across their complex SaaS environments.

This partnership aims to secure the entire cloud-based SaaS ecosystem, enabling seamless implementation of zero-trust principles, and ensuring data is protected from the endpoint to the SaaS applications. It’s a significant step forward in helping enterprises stay secure in the rapidly evolving SaaS landscape.

“We’re honored to partner with Cisco to extend zero trust to SaaS for organizations worldwide—Cisco is one of the world’s great companies, and this partnership gives us a new level of access to a massive, worldwide customer base,” said AppOmni co-founder and chief technology officer, Brian Soby. “Just as Cisco Security Service Edge offers users an exceptional user experience and protected access from any device to anywhere, AppOmni’s Zero Trust Posture Management capabilities close critical gaps at the application level, such as misconfigurations in access controls, unchecked privileges, data leaks, and overlooked third-party integrations.”

Strengthening Cisco’s security service edge

AppOmni’s unique approach to SaaS security complements Cisco’s leading technology and market position. As part of this partnership, AppOmni has been added to Cisco’s Global Price List through its SolutionsPlus program.

This builds on the existing relationship between the two companies—Cisco Investments backed AppOmni just last year. The integration offers benefits for Cisco’s channel partners and customers. While the technologies from the two companies work incredibly well together, including AppOmni in the SolutionsPlus program makes it much easier and faster for customers to access these combined security solutions.

Expanding reseller access to AppOmni’s tools

Cisco’s extensive network of resellers will now be able to offer AppOmni’s specialized SaaS security tools to their own customers as part of the SolutionsPlus lineup. This expands Cisco’s Zero Trust offering by incorporating AppOmni’s distinctive SaaS protection, giving organizations an even more robust security solution.

A powerful combination for comprehensive SaaS protection

Overall, this partnership allows Cisco to bring AppOmni’s innovative security approach to its broad customer base, further strengthening the security capabilities available to businesses.

Chris Sullivan, director of strategic partnerships at AppOmni, says this complex operating environment demands continuous improvement and that this can only be achieved with optimal collaboration. That’s exactly what this partnership delivers.

“At AppOmni, we’ve worked hard to carve out a unique approach to SaaS security and develop a sterling reputation for both technology leadership and customer service,” said Sullivan. “Cisco Secure Access Service Edge leverages the principles of Zero Trust Network Access to enforce strict access controls based on user identity and context. AppOmni perfectly complements this strategy at the application layer, and this combination represents the first complete application of zero trust principles to secure SaaS deployments.”
