Security vendor Symantec announced the establishment of a global and several regional partner advisory councils to give enterprise resellers a hand in the company’s course and forge closer ties between the vendor and VARs.

The company promises a “highly interactive” vehicle to offer input on the vendor’s go-to-market strategies and an effective, influential forum for strategic communication between the two communities, Symantec stated in an announcement released Feb. 22.

Members of the North American regional council include Adexis, Applied Computer Solutions, Apptis, Bayshore Technologies, Carolina Advanced Digital, CBE/Firetower, CHIPS Computer Consulting, CompuCom Systems, Continental Resources, Creative Breakthroughs, DLT Solutions, Emagined Security, En Pointe Technologies, FlexITy Solutions, FusionStorm, Galaxy Data, Govplace, Intelligent Systems and Networking, Peters and Associates, and Venture Technologies.
