Red Hat says it’s keeping pace with its channel partner growth by way of launching a revamped Partner Program, designed to give Red Hat’s business partners additional economic, sales, marketing and technical benefits by way of a new partner level and solution specializations.

The Red Hat Partner Program will now include a Premier Business Partner level in addition to Advanced and Ready classifications, officials said. The program will also feature Infrastructure, Middleware & Virtualization specializations. The idea to enable Red Hat’s partner community to collaborate and innovate to create complete solutions that solve customers’ IT challenges.

"Over the last two plus years, we’ve seen dramatic growth in the number of partners in the Red Hat program. We’ve gone from 300 partners to over 1,500 today. As we’ve grown and experienced the benefit of that, we’ve seen the need to recognize certain partners for the investment they’ve made and technical and sales certification so they can be an extension of our sales force," explained Roger Egan, vice president of North American Channel Sales. "This was inevitable for us . . . the beauty of it, the benefits we’re providing for our partners are enriched significantly over our previous program we had in place."
