Oracle has signed more than 50 value-added distributors (VADs) to its Oracle VAD Remarketer program, which translates to more than 1,200 resellers around the world doing business transactions through the program.

Through the Oracle Remarketer Authorized VADs, more than 1,200 resellers in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific have closed business on Oracle 1-Click Ordering Technology products. The program, launched in June 2007, facilitated 500 new resellers and over 650 sales transactions in its first year of operation, but now it has enabled over 1,200 resellers to conduct over 2,000 transactions.

The program was designed to eliminate the barriers to becoming an Oracle reseller, enabling resellers that buy from VADs to do transactional business through the Remarketer program.

"In our first year, really all we wanted to do was we wanted to make it out to a number of distributors, sign them on as participants in being able to deliver this message to their constituents. We thought this was the best avenue, of course, being able to leverage their exiting relationships with resellers, ISVs, SIs that they deal with that aren’t already dealing with Oracle," said José Fernandez-Stoll, allliances business development consultant at Oracle.
