OnForce,
a source for on-site tech talent, announced the availability of its Apple
iPhone application for IT service corporations and field technicians. The app,
available in the Apple App Store, offers efficiency and collaboration benefits
throughout the lifecycle of every service event. There are plans to introduce
an Android version of the OnForce app in early 2012, the company noted.
“The
OnForce app delivers bottom-line business benefits by improving quality and
reducing inefficiency in field services,” said Peter Cannone, CEO of OnForce.
“We are eliminating administrative overhead and enhancing collaboration between
IT service businesses and field technicians—saving hours every week. Our
customers can continue to deliver best-in-class IT service, while technicians
can focus more on customers and less on filing paperwork or searching for
service event-related information.”
The
OnForce app offers features designed to optimize and automate on-site IT field
service work, including single-touch, geo-tagged check-in and check-out;
directions to job sites with Google maps; real-time response to new customer
requests; and a complete view of business documents.
“OnForce’s
app simplifies and improves the way that I work,” said OnForce pro Steve
Kaluzny. “I now have valuable information at my finger tips for every job, and
my improved ability to respond in real time to service requests helps me
deliver a better, faster service for my customers—which is incredibly important
as I grow my business.”
Earlier
this year, the company launched its IT Field Services Cloud service, which is
designed to help businesses boost service efficiency and quality. The solution
provides access to certified and insured technicians with demonstrated track
records of success, covering a range of technology segments, and is located in
99 percent of all ZIP codes across the United States and in all major provinces
in Canada.
By
using the Field Services Cloud, companies can cut costs by more than 30 percent
by reducing travel, staffing overhead and administrative processes, the OnForce
said. Also, technicians who choose to be a part of the OnForce community gain
access to hundreds of local job opportunities that match their technical
qualifications.
