Lenovo Names New America Channel Chief

Lenovo has appointed Chris Frey as its America Channel Chief. Frey had served as acting channel chief since earlier in 2010.

Frey has taken the channel team to continue to enhance channel partner operations and programs, Lenovo said in a statement. Frey will report to Jay Parker, vice president and general manager of Transactional Business.

Lenovo also announced that its North America organization will now report into David Schmoock who has been appointed as senior vice president and general manager of North America. Schmoock will also continue his role  as senior vice president, operations, Mature Markets Group.

Lenovo said that Schmoock will be relocating from Paris to Lenovo’s campus in Morrisville, NC, and will be responsible for both Lenovo’s relationship and transactional businesses in North America, led by vice president and general manager Tom Looney and Jay Parker respectively.
