Equinix Cloud Exchange Offers Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute for Office 365

Equinix Cloud Exchange is one of the first providers to offer enterprises access to Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute for Office 365.

ExpressRoute for Office 365, a private, secure link to Microsoft’s Azure data centers via partner network and data center operators, is available through the Cloud Exchange in 16 Equinix locations: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Silicon Valley, Washington D.C., Sao Paulo, Amsterdam, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney.

The company also announced the availability of Microsoft’s Azure Government over ExpressRoute via Equinix’s Cloud Exchange.

Palerra Formalizes Global Partner Program

Palerra, a cloud security automation company, enhanced its partner program with the addition of new referral fees and product discounts. New partners receive personalized training and on-boarding, access to sales and marketing materials, as well as demo and trial environments, the company said.

Palerra’s LORIC platform helps enterprises gain visibility into user activities, detect anomalies and internal/external threats, maintain compliance and automate incident response, the company said. The program enables solution providers to extend their sales reach in cloud security within the large customer base for Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office 365 and Amazon Web Services.

Tech Data Develops Education Platform for HP Partners

Tech Data introduced EmpowerMe, an online learning management system for HP authorized solution providers. The platform provides exclusive incentives, industry news, information about products and services, and in-depth training for solution providers. The learning management system was developed to provide a training platform designed to increase partner growth, helping solution providers identify new business opportunities, improve business productivity and streamline current processes.

Palo Alto Networks Threat Intelligence Service Available Globally

Palo Alto Networks announced the general availability of AutoFocus, a new threat intelligence cloud service, through authorized channel partners. The service provides prioritized, actionable cyber-threat intelligence to help organizations identify and prevent targeted cyber-attacks. The cloud service correlates and makes data actionable from the Palo Alto Networks threat intelligence cloud, including data from more than 7,000 subscribers to the WildFire service, expertise from the Unit 42 threat research team and users of the AutoFocus service, the company said.

Verizon Adds Microsoft Lineup to Cloud Service

Verizon Enterprise Solution’s Secure Cloud Interconnect service will now offer Microsoft ExpressRoute for Office 365, Skype for Business and Microsoft Azure Government Cloud.

Verizon’s private networking option provides additional benefits and control to Azure, Office 365 and Skype for Business customers, including consumption-based bandwidth, pre-provisioned on-demand resources and controlled application performance.

Capgemini Group Expands Cloud Services

Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, announced the expansion of its cloud services program, and the addition of Microsoft as the program’s first of several cloud service providers to join.

The initiative, Capgemini Cloud Choice with Microsoft, provides unique services and offerings that focus on the implementation of cloud-based business and technology solutions by using Microsoft’s cloud technologies. Services will include Cloud Advisory, Managed Platform Services and applied integrated innovation. The initiative will provide managed as-a-service cloud solutions tailored to industry needs.

Adallom Joins Box Trust Program

Adallom, a cloud access security broker, which Microsoft recently acquired, announced it is part of the Box Trust program. The company, already a Box partner, provides application-level security for Box users. It will focus on providing network controls and data loss prevention (DLP) as part of Box Trust.

Adallom’s network controls provide enforcement for a variety of cloud access controls beyond user name/password, and can look at factors such as user, location, device, device status and service being accessed. The DLP solution controls the movement of data in the cloud with a combination of native DLP capabilities and the customers’ existing DLP solution by enabling them to leverage their existing data classification and policies.

Connected Data Expands European Presence

Expanding its presence in the European market, Connected Data signed three new channel partners—Blue Profile, NDC and Virtek—to expand its presence in the European market. The new partners will provide Connected Data’s Transporter for Business, private cloud file-sync and -share (FSS) appliances to their customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland. This follows the recent addition of Commtech, the company’s first value-added distributor in Europe.

Smarsh Enhances Web Archiving Solution

Smarsh, a provider of hosted archiving solutions for compliance and e-discovery, released an enhanced version of its cloud-based Web Archiving solution. The new version offers an enhanced supervision workflow that enables organizations to monitor and track changes in content, and document reviews of archived Web pages, as well as a new user interface designed for efficiency.
