Citrix Systems has shuffled its sales organization, naming a new channel chief in the process.

Al Monserrat, currently vice president of North America, will now become Citrix’s new channel chief, serving as the company’s vice president of channels, strategy and sales operations. In his new role, Monserrat will be responsible for relationships with the CSA (Citrix Solution Advisor) channel, system integrators, ISVs and OEMs, as well as for alternate routes to market. In addition, Monserrat will be responsible for “the incubation of new products developed internally or via future acquisitions,” the company said in a statement.

Over the past three years in his current role, Monserrat has more than doubled North American sales revenue to $531 million in 2006.

Monserrat replaces Mitch Parker, who has served as channel chief since October 2005. Parker will transition to the role of vice president of services, where he will head technical support, education, consulting solutions and field readiness. Citrix said Parker has been instrumental in the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., company’s development of sales training and CRM (customer relationship management). Parker’s previous experience as head of solutions delivery in the company’s consulting division will help him in his new role, the company said.

Fernando Campo will expand his current role as vice president of LAC (Latin America and Caribbean) to also encompass North America. Under Campo, Citrix’s Latin America and Caribbean sales organization became the company’s fastest growing geographic region, nearly doubling its revenue from 2003 to 2006. As the new vice president of Americas, Campo will drive operations for North America and LAC and capitalize on regionwide best practices.

All three leadership roles will report directly into John Burris, senior vice president of sales and services, and are effective July 1.

“The appointment of all three of these exceptional executives ensures that the sales and services organization can successfully execute on Citrix’s vision to be the industry leader in application delivery infrastructure while maintaining its world-class channel program, customer service and training agenda,” said Burris, in a statement.
