A multi-year global distribution agreement between Cisco Systems and Westcon Group will make it easier for Cisco’s channel partners to do multi-national and global deals with their customers.

The agreement pulls together all of the individual country and theatre distribution deals that Cisco has with Westcon into a consolidated whole. Now the two companies only have one contract with each other that covers every region. This strategic contract, which has been in the works for two years, enables more multi-national and global trade between Cisco partners and their customers, said Dave O’Callaghan, vice president of distribution for worldwide channels at Cisco Systems.
