Cisco Systems has launched a new initiative to bring collaboration applications to the mobile world.

The Collaboration in Motion initiative ties together a variety of existing and new products, as well as a new program for third-party vendors, to help shift partners from selling 802.11n access points to selling combined solutions that can go into very specific horizontals and verticals with a professional services wrapper.

"The general concept that we’re trying to introduce to the market here is take this powerful collaborative experience and make it available to any workspace," said Chris Thompson, senior director of mobility solutions marketing at Cisco Systems.
