While Apple won’t likely talk about it publicly, it looks like the technology giant, basking in the success of its iPhone and iPad, has embarked on a new push into the corporate space, launching a systems integrator recruitment effort targeting successful, large SIs.

Milestone Technology told Channel Insider about Apple’s new program recently, saying Apple has four SI partners at the moment and that the program is a new one for Apple.  And it’s also new for Milestone, which did not sell Apple products until six months ago when Apple recruited the SI.

Now Bloomberg is reporting that Apple and systems integration giant Unisys have struck a deal to help Apple infiltrate the corporate and government markets.

Bloomberg said Apple declined to comment on the Unisys deal. But Unisys managing partner Gene Zapfel told Bloomberg that the Unisys deal was one of the first of its kind for Apple and the contract was signed this month.

Apple’s iPad has enjoyed a runaway success among both consumers and business, with talk of corporate buys of the devices increasing. Apple has also expanded its go-to-market reach through deals with Verizon, AT&T, Best Buy, Wal-Mart and IT distributor Tech Data.
