Flamingo has raised $4.5 million in seed funding to expand an AI-native IT and security platform designed to help managed service providers consolidate tools and automate routine technical work.
The Miami-based company said the round was led by Vertex Ventures and brings its total funding to $6.7 million, following a $2.2 million pre-seed round in October 2025. Flamingo is positioning its OpenFrame platform as an alternative to fragmented MSP technology stacks by combining open-source infrastructure with AI agents that can execute IT and security tasks.
The company says 400 MSPs are already participating in its beta program, collectively managing 10,000 endpoints, while another 2,500 MSPs are on a waitlist.
Flamingo targets MSP tool sprawl with OpenFrame
OpenFrame consists of two primary components: an infrastructure layer, OpenFrame Core, and an agentic automation layer, OpenFrame Agentic MSP.
OpenFrame Core consolidates 19 IT and security product categories into a common API and data layer. Its initial modules span remote monitoring and management (RMM), mobile device management, monitoring, automation, remote access, patch management, security monitoring, and ticketing.
AI agents automate MSP support and technician tasks
The Agentic MSP layer currently includes two AI agents. Fae addresses end-user tasks such as password resets, device performance issues, and software requests, while Mingo is designed for technician- and fleet-level work, including backups, policy configuration, scripts, and incident response.
“Instead of adding another AI assistant to an existing stack, we’re rebuilding the infrastructure layer and putting agents directly into it, so they can actually close tickets,” Flamingo founder and CEO Michael Assraf said. “Mingo can even hunt down and fix issues before a ticket exists.”
Flamingo is pricing the platform at $1 per device per month, with 10 million AI tokens included, or $0.80 per device per month with 25 million tokens under annual billing.
Automation could change MSP service delivery economics
For MSPs, Flamingo’s pitch goes beyond reducing software costs. The company argues that automating repetitive operational work could enable providers to support more endpoints and customers without a proportional increase in headcount.
That economics-focused approach helped attract Vertex Ventures in this funding round, according to the company.
“As IT becomes a key enabler of AI adoption, the stack itself has to evolve,” Vertex Ventures General Partner Tami Bronner said. She added that combining lower-cost open infrastructure with agents capable of performing operational tasks could “fundamentally change the economics of IT.”
“The traction Flamingo is already seeing, together with the enthusiasm from the people running IT day to day, is strong validation that the market is ready for this shift,” Bronner’s statement continued.
“Michael and the team combine a bold vision for where IT is going with a deep understanding of how it actually operates.”
