CompTIA Adds to Its CertMaster Porfolio

CompTIA has expanded its CertMaster portfolio with a new course. The new CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification provides coursework in the basics of computing technology and covers a range of IT topics. The certification targets organizations that want to verify basic fluency in IT terminology and concepts among their employees, as well as individuals considering a career in IT.

In addition to the basics, CompTIA Fundamentals covers compatibility issues and common errors, software installation and functions, as well as security risks and prevention. The exam covers five categories of technology basics: software, hardware, security, networking and IT literacy.

CompTIA CertMaster is an online learning portfolio that combines the principles of brain science, neurobiology, cognitive psychology and game study. Other certifications available include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ and IT Fundamentals exams.

ANPI Upgrades Premier Partner Program

ANPI, a provider of hosted unified communications (UC) solutions, has upgraded its Premier Partner Program for 2015 with new features, tools and benefits. New features include an automated proprietary Operations Support System/Business Support System (OSS/BSS) for complete supply chain and customer management, a service installation guarantee, a complete marketing and training resource center, a multi-level commission structure, sales promotions and agent incentives.

The Atlas OSS/BSS provides agents with a single Web-based portal for preparing quotes, proposals, placing orders and managing a customer’s entire ANPI VIP experience from installation to post-sales support. The ANPI Resource Center has a reference library containing a broad range of content, including product collateral, company information, product and promotional videos, presentations, sales and end-user training courses and materials, case studies, articles and white papers.

Digital River Expands Strategic Alliances

Digital River, a provider of commerce-as-a-service solutions, has expanded its global partner network with two new strategic alliances, aimed at extending the service capabilities of its SaaS-based commerce platform. The company has signed a partnership agreement with Rauxa, an independent marketing agency, and Slalom Consulting, a business and technology consulting firm.

The partnerships are expected to make it easier for clients to add specialized third-party consulting services and complementary Web content management (WCM) system technologies. Rauxa will facilitate pre-built integrations between Digital River’s platform and leading third-party WCM technologies, while Slalom Consulting will provide implementations and integrations that extend Digital River’s platform, including its commerce business infrastructure (CBI), to companies expanding their commerce operations into new regions. The CBI manages multinational taxation, global payments, export controls and other regulatory compliance requirements.

Garland Technology Joins Cisco Solution Partner Program

Data monitoring specialist Garland Technology has joined the Cisco Solution Partner Program. As a solution partner, the company has the capability to create and deploy offerings designed to enhance network capabilities, performance and management focused on the Internet of everything (IOE). The program leverages Cisco’s offerings with third-party hardware and software vendors to deliver integrated solutions to joint customers.

Parallels Supports Docker Applications

Parallels updated its container-based virtualization solution, Parallels Cloud Server, to include native support for Docker application deployment. This will allow service providers to deliver container-based virtual private servers to developers building Docker applications.

The company said it will provide a secure and high-density virtual server environment that will enable service providers to compete with large public cloud providers on price and performance in this emerging market. Service providers can now launch product offerings supporting Docker developers while maintaining the management tools and expertise they developed on their Parallels platform.
